 Name of a mini-beach of Haad Thong Reng you nothing to say. The beach is about 200 meters South of the better-known Than Sadet. Actually Haad Thong Reng itself is a white sandy beach fringed by coconut trees and surrounded on both ends of a huge granite boulders forming a natural pool which is perfect for swimming.
In the place where is Khlong Thaan Sadet river enters the sea it divides the coast into two Thansadet beach and Haad Thong Reng beach, forming scenic double Bay. Despite the smaller size of these two beaches, picturesque Haad Thong Reng also boasts clear waters and a unique, rustic feel of an old beach Koh Phangan island. The swimming here is also comfortable, but charming beach is more quiet and scenic.
Actually Haad Thong Reng is a desert and undeveloped beach and today there is no host, but the food and drinks you can find in Haad Than Sadet. |

 Getting to Haad Thong Reng Beach
|
 The important historical site, Haad Thong Reng is located on the East coast of Koh Phangan island. You can get Thong Reng by car (4x4) or motorbike (recommended only for experienced drivers/riders and when weather is dry!), but the journey to the beach is almost less enjoyable than the beach itself.
Between mid January to late October there is a boat service from Thong Nai Pan beach to Koh Samui. The ferry leaves Thon Nai Pan Yai at 09am and will drop at Haad Than Sadet at 09.20am. Also you can rent longtail boat to reach the beach from Full Moon Party.
There is a hiking route from Than Sadet to Thon Nai Pan Yai beach for an adventure travellers. |

| You will find a some sun-beds in front of the beach restaurant with breathtaking sea views. The mat or beach towel is everything you need on white sandy beach to kick back and enjoy the tropical island life. There are not ATMs, so stock your cash in advance. J.S. Hut Bungalows's reception also offers money exchange and a small shop. The electricity comes from generators that are switched off at the night time. |

Haad Thong Reng Beach Restaurants & Food |
 Eating on the beach with your foot in the sand or on the hillside with fantastic sea views you will choose from when it comes to dine in Haad Than Sadet. Mai Pen Rai Bungalows has the restaurant right on the sandy beach with a relaxed atmosphere and good music which serves traditional Thai and Western Food. There is always an abundant supply of fresh seafood and daily specials often include freshly caught fish from around Than Sadet waters - Barracuda, Tuna Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Red and White Snapper and Queen Fish. The kitchen is well stocked to provide an extensive and delicious menu for all tastes including vegetarians. Next to the restaurant is Reggae bar, offering an interesting and fun spot, especially in the evenings, surrounded by the sounds of frogs and crickets, and a great place to watch the stars.
 The restaurant at Silver Cliff Bungalow is its finest feature. Perched on top of the cliff with impressive views of the beach and the sea, it offers reasonably priced food and drinks in a laid back & relaxed atmosphere.
Plaa's Than Sadet is the bungalows in Haad Than Sadej Beach on Koh Phangan's Est coast. This budget property has a restaurant with a large terrace facing East which is viewpoint itself and offers the best seaviews in Than Sadet beach area especially in the wee hours. You can enjoy a various selection of Thai and Western cuisines at Plaa's Restaurant from 08:00-22:00 hrs. The restaurant is well known to serve the most delicious food at Than Sadet and the menu has a wide variety of dishes to offer. This is the perfect place to chill high above the worst of the tropical heat and enjoy cheap Beer Chang or Singha.

The beach itself is an ideal spot for those who wish to soak up a little sun while on holiday. Kayaking is a fun activities to explore the ocean's horizons and the neighbouring beaches. Kayaks can be rented on the beach.
The amazing collection of Than Sadet waterfalls are a very nice highlight is must see. Just follow one of the various jungle trails up  to the waterfalls and take a refreshing bath in the fascinating natural pools surrounded by wild, dense, lush & unspoilt jungle. Than Sadet - Koh Phangan National park has also wonderful jungle treks to offer and you can explore the serene nature around Than Sadet and walk to the neighboring beaches.
