What to Do at Night in Ao Plai Laem Beach

 A Plai Laem offers nights less frantic than in Baan Tai or Haad Rin beach but some of the bars in this are are considered as chill out. Beach parties are held in any case and at every chance for celebrations such as Valentine Day and New Years Eve.
There is really not much nightlife if compare to Thongsala town. That said, Plai Laem are blissfully quiet at night. Yet there is a few happening spots along the main road and on hillside, including popular Amsterdam bar and Top Rock bar.
There's no need to be worried though - the area will make you an offer you can't resist.

 Chocolate is a good beach bar to hang out and make new friends with the friendly staff and fellow visitors from all over the world who just happen to be in this western part of the island.
With Thai style seating and low candlelights tables, The Chocolate is open for Plai Laem night owls until late, where its bartenders prepare tasty fruit juices, serve the coolest drinks and can advise you about the different choices on their menu. Cool music, laid back atmosphere and non-regular fire shows are adding some fun sights and sounds to the area's 'nightlife' scene.
