 Koh Kood is the island in Trat province, nearest the Cambodian border and the fourth bigger island in Thailand. The most popular - beaches in Koh Kood: Bang Bao beach, Taphao Beach, Khlong Chao Beach and Ao Phrao Beach.

 The landscape of island is similar Koh Chang, but is more uniform and is less mastered. It is mountainous, the highest mountain - Khao Phaentее 315 meters, and in the greater degree than Koh Chang, Koh Kood is covered with a tropical rain forest - almost for 70 percent. Koh Kood is 25 kilometers in long and 12 kilometers in width, and fuul area occupies approximately 105 square kilometres, there are only 30 kilometers of concrete roads, the others alternate gravel and sandy embankments.
Koh Kood has one main road, connecting Ao Salad bay (in the north) and Ao Yai bay (in the east). Use this highway is possible to reach to all main beaches of island. Nevertheless on the majority of dangerous sites (release or rise) have replaced a ground with concrete. The most abrupt parts of the road are in the south of island (between Ao Prao and Ao Yai), and in northern part of Koh Kood (in Klong Yai Kee area). |

 Alternatively, you can rent a motorbike from the any resorts found virtually on every beach on Koh Kood. The fee is 350 baht per day. Another option is to use the hotel's transfer service. This can be an expensive option, but well worth it if you're traveling with family or in group. Biking provides a safe and fun way to get around, but not recommended for traveling between beaches, or up and down the hills.
To rent a car in Koh Kood is possible together with the driver, who during day will show you all known sights of island, switching falls, beaches and fishing villages. Cost for rent - 1200 THВ. If you travel the big company - there is a sense to lease a car. |
