The good place, whence is possible to begin any culinary adventure in Thong Sala is a daily food market, that on a main road, in the middle of town.
Meals on a beach are not possible in Thong Sala, because of the port constructions occupying the majority of a place on coast, but near the pier and around Baan Tai beach many of resort restaurants are directly at water, and hardly to the north from city delightful Italian restaurant Chiosco, all in several meters from sand, with reviews of a sunset, is located. Having returned back on a major road, to the north, after turn, near to " Phangan Meat ", there is a small Thai restaurant, and despite of its name, Don Danielito, is one of the best taverns in Thong Sala. Here prepare for excellent Thai dishes, on valid to competitive prices, and as tasty pizzas and a baked potato! This place - a favorite among the foreigners living on Koh Phangan. Earlier, in the beginning of 2000, this eat-venues some years were on Ban Tai, and then has removed to Thong Sala .
Moving up to the end of street, to intersection leading to Chaloklum, on the left side of road, the small restaurant controlled in charming French pair, offering French cuisine and generous salads, under incredibly low prices is located O ' RestO. Here you also will find excellent dishes as chiken in sauce bascozi , or a fillet of a chicken in various kind of fried, a potato gratin, stewed vegetables, and many other things! All this is appetizing washed down with a glass good fault, comes to an end chocolate, real coffee and the small prices. Very much recommended restaurant!
On surburb of Thong Sala, on road leads to Haad Rin, in hundred meters from a traffic light, before a minimarket 7/11, Italian restaurant Mediterraneo, where offer the Italian and Greek dishes is located.
The following, beside is Little Hanoi, the first Vietnamese restaurant on Koh Phangan, where prepare for magnificent beaters and as other not less tasty dishes of national cuisine. In the menu are included a picture of the future dishes, very conveniently. Very friendly personnel. And opposite Hanoi, a stone's throw away from 7/11 bakery Panette Bakery (old name Golden Galette) - considered unique - real French bakery in Koh Phangan. It has opened in April 2008, about cheerful bar Cool Runnings, and then removed to more best place. Fred , the owner, prepares tastfull cookies and a sweet, nothing distinguished from similar prepared in Paris. Have necessarily a look to it and try at a breakfast, some from Venezian cookies or Schwarzwald, chocolate eclairs or citric pies with it is expected. We are sure - the owner of you will not disappoint!.
Further in a direction to Haad Rin beach, in several tens meters in front of first bridge, from the right side of road Mexican restaurant Ando Loco is located. Here really prepare for a real Mexican food and magnificent cocktails Margaritas . Try everything, that at them is present, all is very tasty, a the personnel rather friendly.
Through half-kilometer from there, is a reggae - bar and restaurant Cool Runnings having the big lunch hall, a free-of-charge table for a pool in a garden and WIFI the Internet. The Frenchman an expert in the French and international cuisine supervises over an eatery. The weakening atmosphere,fine kinds of a tropical garden and quiet music of a reggae, have to acceptance of food and every possible cocktails.
In front of the following bridge, on the same side of road, there is the simple Thai restaurant Chor Chang, known among local residents, due to a wide choice of delightful dishes. Unfortunately the majority of travellers, seldom look in this place as it is located a little away from road. Nevertheless have a look to them, and you want to come back there every day... Pleasant to you of appetite! |
